ITV has confirmed that the new series of Dancing on Ice will go ahead, despite the UK being plunged into its third national lockdown earlier this week.
The 2021 series is set to debut on Sunday, January 17, with celebs including Denise van Outen, Rebekah Vardy and Emmerdale’s Joe-Warren Plant taking part.
A spokesperson for the show confirmed that the new episodes are still happening as planned, telling The Mirror: “We have stringent protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all our contributors and staff which are routinely monitored and updated to reflect the current guidelines.”
Also joining the ice this year will be Coronation Street’s Faye Brookes, Myleene Klass, Jason Donovan, Sonny Jay, Colin Jackson, Graham Bell, Lady Leshurr, Billie Faiers and Rufus Hound.
The contestants have formed ‘mini-bubbles’ with their professional partners to ensure things can go ahead and they’ve been training for the past few months.
