Serge Aurier has given Tottenham fans a close-up of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s horror shin injury, by posting a video on social media of his team-mate receiving treatment at Spurs’ training ground.
Hojbjerg sustained a gruesome shin injury on Tuesday night during Tottenham’s 2-0 Carabao Cup semi-final victory over Brentford following an accidental but nasty challenge from Josh Dasilva.
The tackle left the Danish midfielder with a huge gash down his shin, and after Mike Dean went to his pitchside monitor, former Arsenal youth product Dasilva was subsequently shown a straight red card.
And on Wednesday, Aurier shared a gruesome video on his Instagram story of Hojbjerg getting medical treatment on his shin.
In the social media clip, Hojbjerg can be seen wincing occasionally as a Tottenham medic wipes blood away from the gash.
More amusingly, Aurier then puts a viking hat emoji on top of Hojbjerg’s head in reference to the Dane star’s earlier comments.
Dasilva took to Twitter following his red card on Tuesday, insisting he never meant to cause any harm, writing: ‘Anyone that knows me, knows it was never intentional.. will learn from this.’
Hojbjerg then decided to put Dasilva’s mind at ease by personally responding to the young Brentford star – insisting he knew his opponent didn’t mean it before labelling himself a ‘viking’. Read from source….
