Police have slammed ‘selfish’ day-trippers from Tier 4 areas who travelled hundreds of miles to visit Snowdonia for a New Year’s Day walk.
Visitors from as far afield as Kent, Southampton and Solihull were caught breaching coronvirus lockdown rules at the beauty spot on January 1.
Wales has been in Tier 4 since December 19, with all but essential shops closed, and people being told to ‘stay home’ to save lives.
Earlier this week North Wales Police warned people this week to stay away from popular tourist spots such as Snowdonia, Cheshire Live reports.
But, visitors have ignored the pleas and North Wales Police posted on social media today that there have already been several breaches. Read from source….
