A Donald Trump supporter, among those who stormed the US Capitol building, has described the moment a fellow rioter was shot dead.
Wearing a Trump-Pence baseball cap, the protester – who identified himself as Thomas from New Jersey – said the woman had “rushed to the windows” before being shot in the neck.
Speaking during a WUSA9 TV interview following the incident, he said the woman wouldn’t follow police officers’ commands to get out of the way.
“She didn’t heed the call, and as we kind of raced up to grab people and pull them back, they shot her in the neck,” Thomas said.
“And she fell back on me…and then she started moving weird and blood was coming out of her mouth and neck and nose. I don’t know if she’s alive or dead anymore.”
He showed cuts to his hands he’d received as he was ushered outside by law enforcement officers.
Asked how he and fellow rioters entered the building, he said: “We tore through the scaffolding, the flashbangs and tear gas and blitzed our way in through all the chambers just trying to get into Congress, whoever we could get into and tell them we need some kind of investigation into this.
“And what ends up happening is someone might have ended up dead and that’s not the kind of government we can have.” Read from source….
